Planning Meetings  (July - October 2010)


We welcome all woman-identified community members and community organizations to come and share their wisdom in creating a fun, activist Take Back the Night.

We invite all survivors to come and share our perspectives on how to make this event about us!

Planning meetings are on the following dates:

Wednesday July 28th (6-8pm)
What is TBTN? What are the roles of TBTN? What thoughts do we have about the theme, poster, etc?

Wednesday August 11th (6-8pm)
What is the progress of roles and jobs for the event? What is accessibility for the event? What does the rally look like? What things need to be included in this year’s Take Back the Night? How do you want to be involved at Take Back the Night? What are the committees for each aspect of the event? What are the roles of being a volunteer for TBTN? Poster creation and review.

Wednesday August 25th (6-8pm)
Committee work including: food, childcare, media, rally, poster making and community fair. Additional planning including: Accessibility team support and Rally team support. Poster creation and review.

Wednesday September 8th (6-8pm)
Committee work including: food, childcare, media, rally, poster making and community fair. Additional planning including: Accessibility team support and Rally team support. Poster review and finalization.

Wednesday September 22nd (6-8pm)
On-going committee work and planning.

Wednesday October 6th (6-8pm)
On-going Committee work and planning.

Wednesday October 13th (6-8pm)
Final meeting before the event.

Wednesday October 20th (6-8pm)
Final Meeting before event is a site visit to Yonge-Dundas Square
